Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
- Research and development of new industrial process equipment;
- Design of automation components for industrial equipment;
- Monitoring the development of the designed equipment;
- Managing project development activities, ensuring that set deadlines are met;
- Supporting the Technical and Design Department;
- Coordinating activities with a multidisciplinary team;
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards for equipment;
- Developing strategies to improve product efficiency and quality;
- Monitoring work carried out overseas.
Profile
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline;
- At least 2 years’ experience in equivalent roles within an industrial environment (preferably in the metalworking sector);
- Experience in programming Siemens and Rockwell PLCs;
- Experience with Siemens Step7, TIA Portal, WinCC and Rockwell FactoryTalk software;
- Experience in project development and commissioning;
- Solid knowledge of equipment automation;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (an advantage);
- Good knowledge of English and/or French;
- Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Willingness to work flexible hours and undertake domestic and international travel.
