PERFINOX recently welcomed a technical visit organized by the Ordem dos Engenheiros – Região Norte (OERN), bringing together professionals interested in food engineering and industrial process technologies. The initiative focused on the PERFIPROCESS® Technology Center, providing participants with the opportunity to explore how process technologies are developed, validated and optimized before industrial implementation.

The visit began with an introduction to PERFINOX, its history and its role in designing and manufacturing advanced process solutions for the food industry. Participants were then invited to visit the company’s production facilities and the PERFIPROCESS® Technology Center, where they experienced a series of live technology demonstrations under real operating conditions.

As an industrial-scale research and development facility, the PERFIPROCESS® Technology Center supports food manufacturers throughout product development, process validation and industrial scale-up. Equipped with a wide range of processing technologies, the center enables customers to evaluate recipes, optimize production parameters and validate complete process solutions before investment in industrial equipment.

Throughout the technical visit, participants explored different food processing technologies, including mixing, cooking, homogenization, thermal processing and cleaning systems. The program also included a practical mayonnaise production session, demonstrating how different technologies are integrated to achieve consistent product quality and reliable process performance.

Events such as this reinforce the importance of collaboration between industry and the engineering community, creating opportunities to share technical knowledge and showcase real industrial applications.
