Developed within the scope of the VIIAFOOD project, PERFILAB was created to support food manufacturers throughout the product development journey, providing a flexible platform for process validation, recipe optimization and scale-up activities.
Designed for high-viscosity food applications, PERFILAB enables the processing of a wide range of products, including sauces, creams, fruit preparations and other complex formulations. By replicating real processing conditions, manufacturers can evaluate product behaviour, optimize process parameters and validate production concepts before moving to industrial-scale manufacturing.
Its compact and versatile design makes PERFILAB a valuable tool for research and development activities, allowing greater flexibility, process control and reliability during product development and validation stages.
The solution has already been validated in collaboration with Decorgel, demonstrating its suitability for supporting innovation and the development of new food products.
PERFILAB was developed under the VIIAFOOD project, an initiative supported by the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR – Recuperar Portugal), created to promote innovation and competitiveness within the Portuguese agri-food sector through a national collaborative platform.
